Be Kind, be Thoughtful be True

A simple thank you can bring a smile

An act of kindness can change a life

How are you today? Let them know you care

Appreciate life and the friends you hold dear

Live every day as if it were your last

Have fun and laughs, shed a tear and fall

Never give up be weak and strong

Continuously learning as life goes on

Don’t be self-absorbed, inattentive to others

I Love You are 3 powerful words, not used enough, often deferred

Make sure they know before time runs out

Be clear, don’t stutter or leave them in doubt

I guess what I’m trying to say is always be thoughtful

A relationship or friendship is not made up of one

So don’t just think of yourself

You will end up alone

Battered and bruised from an unexpected invite to the murkiness of the underground piracy of literary theft and a second night of irrelevant, insignificant copulation and dissipated behaviour she arose with regret from her slumber where in cloud cuckoo land her responsibility was mingling with the ugliness of the rich, parking the gas guzzlers and the over polished eighteen-wheelers whilst donning a tophat not too dissimilar to that of the mad hatter. Lax and being selfish she wanted to stay wrapped in the fragrance of the night. There was no smell and a panicked face reflected in the mirror. A longing for food and an unusual craving for saltine crackers she made an adjustment to her hair securing a ponytail ensuring a picture of cleaness. Despite convincing herself that the sex had been meaningless, she had embraced and savored the smell of the sheets and the ongoing frustration of the unrequited love that haunted her. This sensation was lost and despite still having sight, touch, hearing and taste she hoped the loss was temporary and the torment would cease. Picking up the seashell from her mantle and placing it to her ear her concern of this lack of smell disappeared if only in the interim with the comforting sound of the sea.
